Our talks will be during the festival. Times will be posted and it's first come first served.

Especially designed for starting, mid-career film professionals and media students.

Our talks gather experts to offer advice on issues and challenges faced by the industry today, including how to master budgeting, scheduling and writing to a particular scale and budget, managing the development process effectively, cracking distribution and sales and navigating the legal aspects of music and archive footage clearance.

Also learn valuable tips for short cuts and cost savings, and hear firsthand experience of preparing several hundred extras for an early morning start in a cold, wet field. Issues covered will include: borrowing; renting; creating bespoke costumes; approaching clothing labels and retail chains; and what restrictions apply on brands and logos.
